The Rail Stop Restaurant offers gourmet quality dining

Tom Kee credits his mother and grandmother as his earliest influences in the kitchen, sparking an interest that lead him years later to pass the chef's course at L'Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, Maryland. From that time through the late 80s, Tom worked in some of the most notable restaurants in Washington D.C., including Chef Yannick Cam's Le Pavilion, Restaurant Nora, and i Ricchi, which received a DiRoNA Award and was picked by Food and Wine Magazine as one of the country's best restaurant.

Eventually settling in the Virginia countryside, Tom partnered with actor Robert Duvall to open the Rail Stop Restaurant in a small town known simply as The Plains. It was here that he gained exposure on The Oprah Winfrey Show and The Food Network. Now, as a way to celebrate his 20th year as Chef and owner of this Main Street mainstay, Tom is sharing some of his favorites recipes, providing a wider audience some insight into what has made the Rail Stop one of the region's finest restaurants.
